Objective: Deliver experienced, sound guidance to buyers and sellers through all stages of the transaction process. Summary: FP Transitions’ M&A experts act as intermediaries between buyers and sellers engaged one of the most technical, emotional, and financially significant activities of their lives. The M&A Associate delivers expertise on valuation, matchmaking, financing and contracts to facilitate the sale of independent financial practices. The M&A Associate can adjust their approach to meet the needs of the engagement, guiding the transaction to a satisfying conclusion for all parties. This role relies on FP Transitions’ proprietary data, documents and technology to support the client engagement.
Essential Functions: • Build trusting relationships with sellers and potential buyers • Guide clients through all phases of a transaction, including negotiation, financing and contracts • Manage multiple transactions concurrently and independently • Record confidential client information in proper formats and databases • Monitor and report on transaction status and activity to appropriate stakeholders
Familiar with a full range of acquisitions, mergers, equity investments and other sophisticated transactions
Able to explain multiple transaction strategies, tax treatments, and financing options and their outcomes to buyers and sellers
Experience with structuring, negotiating, and drafting a wide range of transactional documents
Capable of managing and motivating diverse personality types through a complex and technical process
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as a team member
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: Salary dependent on experience. Significant bonus potential
